CONDOLENCES

Dear All, 
  With profound grief I am to inform You that Dr.Surendranath Dubey, one of the closest associates of Dr.G.Chaurasia and Founder Secretary General of the CTE(now CTEF) and Former Secretary of the National Teachers’ Foundation, New Delhi died at the age of 90 due to cardiac arrest. 
   Dr.Dubey was a dedicated teacher and thorough Gentleman who served CTE in early years of its establishment. He also served as Chief Editor of ‘School Shiksha’ one of the widely circulated journal dedicated to school education. 
  May his soul rest in eternal peace !๐Ÿ™Deep Condolences on behalf of the CTEF Fraternity๐Ÿ™

SREE SANKARA CTEF SEMINAR

 NATIONAL SEMINAR 2026
A National Seminar on the theme “Transforming Education in India: Innovation, Inclusivity, Institutional Excellence and Internationalisation in the Light of NEP 2020” was successfully conducted on 24th March 2026 at Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady. 

The seminar was organized by the IQAC of the college in collaboration with the Council for Teacher Education Foundation (CTEF), Kerala Chapter.
The programme commenced at 10:00 AM in the college auditorium with a formal inaugural session. The seminar was presided over by the Principal, Dr. N. K. Arjunan, who emphasized the importance of aligning teacher education with the transformative vision of NEP 2020. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. M. S. Geetha, Former Dean and Faculty of Education, University of Kerala, who highlighted the need for innovation and inclusivity in the Indian education system.
The seminar featured distinguished resource persons who shared their valuable insights. Prof. (Dr.) Malini P. M., Retired Principal of N.S.S. Training College, Pandalam, spoke on “NEP 2020: Catalysing India’s Educational Revolution”, focusing on the paradigm shift in teaching-learning processes. Prof. (Dr.) V. Reghu, Former Dean and Controller of Examinations, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, delivered a session on “NEP 2020 and Trends in Higher Education”, elaborating on contemporary challenges and opportunities. Dr. Bindhu M. P., Associate Professor, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, presented on “Emerging Innovations and Best Pedagogical Practices in Teacher Education”, stressing digital integration and learner-centered approaches.
The seminar aimed to critically analyse the transformative vision of NEP 2020, explore innovative teaching-learning practices, promote inclusive and equitable education, and examine avenues for internationalisation in higher education. Various sub-themes such as digital transformation, multidisciplinary education, competency-based learning, research and innovation, and student well-being were discussed in detail.
The event witnessed active participation from academicians, research scholars, and students. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions and gained deeper insights into current trends and reforms in education. Paper presentations added academic value to the seminar, encouraging research culture and collaboration.
The seminar concluded with a valedictory session and a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons, organizers, participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
Overall, the seminar was highly informative and successful in achieving its objectives, providing a platform for academic exchange and professional development in the field of teacher education.
