The fifth Executive Committee Meeting of CTEF Kerala was held on February 29, 2024, Thursday, at 7:20 pm on Google Meet (link: https://meet.google.com/mgq-nhmy-hmp) with the following agenda:

The programme was initiated by the Chairman, Dr. M. S. Geetha with a silent prayer. Prof. Dr. Rajeswari K. welcomed the gathering followed by the presidential address of the Chairman.


  1. Review of the Annual Convention

Review by Members:

  1. Dr. Grace Annie Mathews: She said that the conference went well in a very graceful and effective way. Time management was truly amazing and they displayed wonderful teamwork. The college got a fantastic opportunity to convene an international conference to showcase their goodwill, teamwork, skills of time management, organizing, etc., in a very elegant manner. The paper presentation sessions were organised meticulously in a

  2. commendable way. The college officials and staff put on excellent teamwork in collaboration with the CTEF members. Dr. VM Sasi Kumar performed his role gloriously and hospitably by bringing and accommodating members from outside Kerala. Dr. V. Reghu’s session was a very effective one. All the sessions were very useful and effective.

  3. Dr. V. Reghu: It was a well-organized programme. Academically, paper presentations and other sessions were very effective with the joint efforts of the College Management and the CTEF members. The cultural event with ‘Padayani’ was fantastic and the effort taken is indeed appreciated. He also requested that the report of the programme to be published in the publication of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

  4. Dr. Anil Kumar: The International Conference was a well-organized one with the effort of the college authorities and the CTEF members. He hoped that the next one would also be a successful one like this and congratulated all the CTEF office bears and college authorities as well.

  5. Dr. Sankaranarayanan Palleri: The programme was heard to be a well-organized one. One of his books was published in one of the highly reputed Cambridge Journals. The source of inspiration for activities like this blooms from the activities and resourcefulness of organizations like this.

  6. Dr. Saramma Chandy: Absolutely a great event, well organized, well managed. The time management was spectacular which should be contagious. The atmosphere of the college, the students, teachers, and all the staff were all very cooperative with graceful behaviour. The cultural programme, food, everything was well organized. In north India, the retired teachers never work so hard. This group of teachers of the CTEF is a source of inspiration for all.

  7. Prof. Dr. K. Rajeswari: A beautifully coordinated and well-organized conference and annual convention. It is only because of the hard work and commitment the CTEF officials and College officials put forth. The chairmanship of Dr. M.S. Geetha is commendable. All the senior CTEF official like Dr. V. Reghu, Dr. VM Sasi Kumar, the Bishop of Batheri, the Bishop of the College, and the Principal and the faculty members worked hand-in-hand and put on a great show along with Dr. Velayudhan Nair and other in-charges of the college. She congratulated all on behalf of CTEF. The effort taken by Dr. Premachandran, Dr. Anila Chacko and all the others are appreciated.

  8. Dr. Jacob Mathew: No one event taken up by the PMTC has been a failure. Congratulations and gratitude to all the college faculties and CTEF members.

  9. Dr. Mariamma Mathew (Review on behalf of PMTC): There was a great team effort for months to put on a great show like that and the support and inspiration from Dr. M. S. Geetha was unequivocal and meticulous. The sessions were all very effective. The paper presentations were an output and product of the programme and it has been made into a report. All the wishes and appreciation are whole-heartedly accepted and CTEF’s role in nominating the college for the conference is well appreciated.

  10. Dr. M. S. Geetha (Review on behalf of CTEF): Everything started with great planning. The programme started with a message from Dr. Bhandarkar and Dr. Nilima Bagavati. The panel led by Dr. Nimmi Maria Oommen was beautiful.  The sessions by Dr. Jayaprakash on NEP was enlightening. The talk by the Bishop was truly an inspiring one.

    1. The panel discussion led by Dr. V. Reghu and the contributions of other panelists like Dr. Asha JV, etc., were wholesome. The sessions on the third day also went on well. Gratitude is expressed wholeheartedly to the College personnel and CTEF officials for their contributions from the very start to the end of the programme. Dr. VM Sasikumar’s effort in making in the conference an international one is commendable. Dr. Sajan’s effort in developing and launching the website is indeed appreciated. The effort taken by Dr. Premachandran, Dr. Anvar, Dr. Anu Mukund, and others is also appreciated. The sponsorship by Dr. VM Sasikumar in making the certificates, Dr. Vijaykumari’s effort in making her contributions, Dr. Malini’s effort in content development and Dr. Grace Annie Mathew’s effort and enthusiasm in staying throughout the conference, Dr. Anvar’s efforts, everything is well appreciated. The college’s effort in putting on the show of Padayani and the effort in serving good and tasty food is appreciated. 

    2. It was reminded that the 23rd annual convention is promised to be conducted at  Devaki Amma Memorial Teacher Education College, Chelembra in Kozhikode in Feb 2025.

    1. E-Content Development 

    Prof.Dr Malini intimated that the e-content development is not moving forward. The recording was said to be facilitated by MTTC. Two of the members recorded - Dr.  Joju & Dr. Lakshmi. However, Dr. Sajan indicated that the aspect ratio was double and hence, it cannot be published in any form. There is a need for an offline session to be organized and a venue and host should be decided. A venue in a convenient area would be ideal. 


    1. Any Other Matter with the Permission of the Chair:

    1. The University of Kerala’s meeting will be held on ITEP and programmes will be organized by the Kerala Higher Education Council in Trivandrum which needs to be represented by CTEF members.

    2. Dr. Anu Krishnan has offered to constitute an award for the topper in ITEs in Trivandrum with a cash prize of Rs. 1100/- and a certificate. Yearly contributions can be accepted. Any other similar awards can be accommodated.

    3. Dr. Pramod Dinakar has sent a resignation from his post as CTEF General Secretary as his official responsibilities at his university have proven to be burdensome. Patron, Dr. Grace Annie Mathews opined that it should be accepted as CTEF needs a full-time General Secretary and suggested the name of Prof. Dr. Nimmi Maria Oommen as the new General Secretary until the next election and her role as the academic coordinator should be given to another member. All the members of the executive committee supported the suggestion and her candidature as General Secretary was unanimously accepted and passed by the ECM.

    4. CTEF National Conference at Jabalpur: Four members from Ctef Kerala have registered for the conference  Dr. MS Geetha, Dr. V. Reghu, Dr. Anu Mukund & Dr. Anu Krishnan. The Chairman requested the members to register from Kerala for the National Conference which is to be held at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa  College Jabalpur,  Madhyapradesh.


    Decisions Taken:

    1. The statement of the accounts proposed by Peet Memorial Training College in connection with organizing the 22nd Annual Convention and International Conference on Education 5.0 was passed by the ECM.

    2. The publication of the papers presented at the conference held at PMTC needs to be done. A total number of 40 books needs to be published.

    3. The tentative venue for the  e-content development workshop will be Alappuzha  Govt ITE in April 2024 as informed by Dr Naisal.

    4. The book published by Dr. Sankaranarayan Palleri will be appreciated in the next programme organized by CTEF.

    Representatives of CTEF will attend the programmes organized by Kerala Higher Education Council on ITEP with a prepared written agenda.
    1. Dr. Anu Krishnan’s offer to constitute a yearly award for the topper in ITEs in Trivandrum with a cash prize of Rs. 1100/- and a certificate has been accepted and passed by the ECM by accepting yearly contributions.

    2. Dr. Pramod Dinakar’s resignation from the post of CTEF General Secretary is accepted and he has been relieved from the duties.

    3. Prof. Dr. Nimmi Maria Oommen has been unanimously elected as the new General Secretary of CTEF Kerala Chapter until the next election and her role as the academic coordinator will be transferred to another member.

    At the end of the meeting, Dr. Premachandran proposed the vote of thanks.
